Now Streaming: Virgin Labfest’s ‘Papaano Turuan Ang Babae Humawak ng Baril’
Virgin Labfest’s Papaano Turuan ang Babae Humawak ng Baril is now streaming. This is part of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Women’s Month Showcase presenting the creative portrayal of women dealing with women’s issues.
The one-act was first featured in last year’s Virgin Labfest as part of its ‘Kapit’ season where all one-acts were created and executed in a socially distant way and streamed live.
On his way home after an encounter with the NPA, Oka reunites with his pregnant wife, Liling. The sweet homecoming becomes the complete opposite as Liling is faced with her husband’s impossible request.
Written by Daryl Pasion and directed by Erika Estacio, it stars Eshei Mesina as Oka and Lhorvie Nuevo as Liling.
