Now Streaming: ‘Body Positive’ by Ballet Philippines is Online
Ballet Philippine’s Body Positive + is now streaming. Performed as a Dance Gala for their 46th Season last 2015, Ballet Philippines staged it as a way to spread awareness for the rising numbers of HIV cases in the country.
Body Positive + features excerpts from Swan Lake, Mark Bogaerts’ Bolero, William Carter’s Bach Concerto, and original masterpieces Cloth by Enrico Labayen and Requiem to a Cygnet by Erl Emmanuel Sorilla. Show choreographers are Max Luna II and Alden Lugnasin.
The streaming cast features Jean Marc Cordero, Earl John Arisola, Denise Parungao, Cyril Aran Fallar, Rita Angela Winder, Timothy Paul Cabrera, Charmaine Bianca Perez, Victor Maguad, Monica Amanda Gana, Jemima, and Sanielle Reyes, with guest artists PJ Rebullida and Ernest Mandap. The restagers are Nonoy Froilan, Cecile Sicangco, Paul Alexander Morales, Katherine Trofeo, and Carissa Adea.
Other cast members include Gilliane Therese Gequinto, Lester John Reguindin, Janine Myrtel Arisola, Eugine Obille, Sarah Anne Alejandro, Erl Emmanuel Sorilla,Mark Anthony Grantos, Christopher Nino Royeca, Garry Corpuz, Katrene San Miguel, Ian Nick Tiba, Stephaniue Eunice Cabral, Lea Klariza Roque, Nino Albay, Ace Polias, Averyl Eurie Villamayor, Ricmar Policarpio, Jean Almeda, Rosanne Mikhaela Razon, Criselda Faustino, Dahne Joira Tamondong, Gabrielle Marie Vizmonte, Maila Jean Habagat, and Katherine Marie Batto.
The show was performed last September 13, 2015, at the CCP Little Theater.
