The Les Misérables Broadway revival has hit its 1000th performance on August 14th, from its opening on March 23, 2014.

But onto sadder news: Broadway will be hearing the people sing for the last time (in a long time) on September 4, 2016.

It's time to #celebrate! Tonight we raise a glass to 1,000 performances on #Broadway!

The beloved Cameron Mackintosh-produced musical Les Misérables revival will be closing on Broadway this September. After two and half years, the show will close on the fourth of next month.

Although the revival has performed unevenly at the box office, Mackintosh was still pleased with its overall performance.

“There is power in me yet, my race is not yet run.” He’s not done yet—see the final month of #LesMizBway!
