Idina Menzel Sings in Beaches TV Movie Promo
And it is a glorious, Glory of Love.
Entertainment Weekly releases an exclusive promotional announcement for the TV Movie remake of the 1980s hit, Beaches. The premiere is set for January 21 on Lifetime Channel and features Menzel in the role popularized by the great Bette Middler.

In the teaser, we hear Menzel’s CC Bloom singing one of the iconic songs in the movie, The Glory of Love. Her rendition is poignant, and powerful, sparkles with jazz and shines with theater influence – and quite fitting for the theme as she drags waves with her voice, swirls them and then allows them to crash in quiet waves.
Starring alongside Idina Menzel is Nia Long, who plays Hillary (Barbara Hershey in the original movie).
