The West End revival of the musical 42nd Street is streaming online for only 48 hours!

Young Peggy Sawyer is fresh off the bus from small-town America and just another face in the chorus line on Broadway’s newest show. But when the leading lady gets injured, Peggy might just have the shot at stardom she’s always dreamed of.

The cast features Clare Halse as Peggy Sawyer, Tom Lister as Julian Marsh, and Bonnie Langford as Dorothy Brock. The West End revival opened in 2017 and was nominated for 3 Olivier Awards, including Best Musical Revival, and closed on January 5, 2019.

With a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble (who also serves as director), with music by Harry Warren and lyrics by Al Dubin and Johnny Mercer, 42nd Street first opened on Broadway in 1980 and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. It also won the Olivier for Best New Musical when it opened in the West End in 1984 and the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 2001.

Audiences can watch the full production on The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel. The channel has been streaming musicals and concerts for free as early as April this year, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ SuperstarThe Phantom of the Opera, Love Never DiesCatsThe War of the Worlds, and The Wind in the Willows, among many others.

It is currently streaming its Tony Award-winning season, which started with the West End productions of An American in Paris and Red.
