Lea Salonga Will Join “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” Season Finale
EW.com reports that Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, currently starring in “Allegiance” on Broadway, will guest-star on the season finale of the CW’s “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”.
The series’ creator and star Rachel Bloom shared the news after her own Golden Globe win on Sunday for Best Actress in a Television Comedy or Musical. The show co-stars Filipino-American actor Vincent Rodriguez III, so Salonga’s guest stint is not only a big boost for diversity on the small screen, but also promises a chance to highlight Filipino culture in the mainstream.

Salonga also made the announcement on her personal Twitter account.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” is currently on hiatus but will return from its mid-season break on Jan. 25.
