‘Wicked’-Inspired Makeup Workshop Set for October

‘Wicked’-Inspired Makeup Workshop Set for October

A Wicked-inspired theatrical makeup workshop led by hair and makeup artist Myrene Santos will be held on October 25 at Opera Haus in Makati.

Presented by Stagedoor by GMG Productions in partnership with Santos, the workshop will focus on creating an Elphaba-inspired green makeup look while introducing participants to techniques used in theatrical character makeup. Stagedoor is an initiative by GMG Productions that organizes musical theater-related events and experiences outside of its stage productions, including workshops, musical theater raves, open mic nights, quiz nights, and sing-along screenings.

Participants will learn how makeup can help define a character, how looks are adapted for the stage, and some of the practical considerations involved in preparing performers for a production.

Santos is a Manila-based professional wig maker, wig dresser, and hair and makeup artist specializing in theatrical styling and character transformation. She served as Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair and Makeup for the Hamilton International Tour from 2023 to 2024, as well as for The Lion King International Tour, working on productions in Singapore, Taiwan, and Abu Dhabi. In Manila, her credits on visiting international productions include Les Misérables, Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Sound of Music.

Two ticket options are available. The Hands-On Ticket is priced at ₱2,500, with an early bird rate of ₱2,000. Participants will recreate the Green Witch makeup look on themselves with step-by-step guidance from Santos. Hands-on participants are encouraged to bring their own makeup products, brushes, tools, preferred makeup remover, drinking water, and a light snack. A recommended materials list will also be provided upon registration.

An Observer Ticket is available for ₱500 and includes access to the demonstration and Q&A, but does not include hands-on participation.

Workshop attendees may also purchase an optional Green Witch Makeup Kit for ₱850. The kit includes water-based green face paint, makeup fixing spray, a basic eyeshadow palette, a makeup sponge, and a small brush set.

Tickets will be available beginning October 5, 2026. The workshop will be held on October 25 at Opera Haus in Makati.

Registration is available through the Stagedoor Makeup Workshop with Myrene Santos registration form.
