‘We Aren’t Kids Anymore’ Musical Coming in May 2025
Drew Gasparini’s song cycle, We Aren’t Kids Anymore, is set to be staged by the Barefoot Theatre Collaborative this May. The coming-of-age musical is a modern story about five people navigating the emotional and artistic complexities of adulthood.
Featuring a poem by Keith White with orchestrations and vocal arrangements by Justin Goldner and Drew Gasparini, the show explores the often messy reality of growing up—while never quite feeling like you have. It captures that pivotal moment in life when you realize that who you thought you’d become is different from who you’re actually becoming, when the dreams you once swore to chase don’t look the way you imagined, and when the world no longer seems as simple as it once was.
The production will feature performances by Gab Pangilinan, Maronne Cruz, Gio Gahol, Luigi Quesada, and Myke Salomon, under the direction of Rem Zamora. The creative team also includes Myke Salomon and Farley Asuncion as Musical Directors, Jomelle Era as Movement Director, Joey Mendoza as Production Designer, Hershee Tantiado as Associate Costume Designer, and D Cortezano as Lighting Designer and Technical Director.
We Aren’t Kids Anymore will run from May 2 to 25, 2025, at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater in Circuit Makati. The 90-minute show will have no intermission, and latecomers will not be admitted. This production is licensed by Concord Theatricals.
Tickets are available in two tiers: Gold (PHP3,200) and Silver (PHP2,700). Opening weekend tickets are now offered at discounted rates: PHP3,000 for Gold and PHP2,500 for Silver. You can get your tickets now at bit.ly/waka2025tickets.
