WATCH: “Tick, Tick… Boom!” Releases a Full-Length Teaser

Netflix’s Tick, tick…BOOM! has released a full-length trailer and the release date.   

The film adaption is based on the late composer Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical Off-Broadway musical of the same name. It’s a fictionalized account of his life before the success of hit musical Rent

In the year 1990, Jon (Andrew Garfield) works as a waiter in a New York Diner while tirelessly composing his original rock musical for the last eight years. Days prior to him showcasing his work, Jon feels pressure to live a certain way from everyone and everywhere as the days goes by and as the clock continues to tick. 

The film is directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, making his directorial debut. It features a screenplay by Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hansen) and choreography by Ryan Heffington. 

Joining Garfield will be Alexandra Shipp, Vanessa Hudgens, Robin de Jesús, Joshua Henry, MJ Rodriguez, Bradley Whitford, Tariq Trotter, and Judith Light.

Tick, tick…BOOM! will premiere on selected theatres on November 12, 2021, and will be available for streaming on Netflix on November 19, 2021.
