Mad Child Productions has announced that a staged reading of Emmanuelle Mattana’s Trophy Boys will be the first production in the lineup of their third season, titled A.K.A. Our Coming of Age.

Trophy Boys is a high-energy satirical play written by Emmanuelle Mattana that follows an elite, all-boys high school debate team tasked with arguing that “feminism has failed women.” The play delves into topics such as toxic masculinity, queer desire, and the performativity of gender.

Directed by Jillian Ita-as, the production features Dippy Arceo (Elecktra 2025, Bar Boys 2025), Zoë de Ocampo (Patintero sa Ayala Avenue 2025, Quomodo Desolata Es? 2026), Yani Lopez (Sa Babaeng Lahat 2025, Bagets the Musical 2026), and Leanne Mamonong (The Band’s Visit 2020).

Joining Ita-as on the creative team are Perine Nyssa Bianzon as technical director and lighting designer, Julia Vaila as sound designer, and AJ Binay as graphic designer.

Trophy Boys will have its limited one-weekend run on April 10 (8 PM), April 11 (8 PM), and April 12 (2 PM, 5 PM, and 8 PM) at the 5/F Mirror Theater Studios, SJG Centre, Makati.

Tickets are priced at P800 each and may be purchased via the group’s Google Form. Blind box pass holders have also been sent an email with instructions on how to claim their tickets. For inquiries, email [email protected].
