Thespians Perform Barbra Streisand’s Body of Work in next One Night Stand Cabaret
At next month’s One Night Stand, thespians Emeline Celis-Guinid (Matilda the Musical), Yumi Lacsamana (Ako Si Josephine), Sandino Martin (Changing Partners), Phi Palmos (Dekada ‘70), Tim Pavino (Side Show), and Sweet Plantado-Tiongson (Rak of Aegis) will be performing songs that Barbra Streisand has sung on stage, in film, and in her pop music career.
Barbra Streisand is considered an icon for portraying the lead roles in the film versions of “Funny Girl,” “Yentl,” and “Hello, Dolly!” She is among a small group of entertainers who have been honored with an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award), and is one of only two artists in that group who have also won a Peabody.
There will also be special performances by Gabo Tiongson, Leo John Guinid, Dolly de Leon, Sherry Lara, Cris Villonco, and Michael Williams.
