As 2015 draws to a close, we can’t help but look back on the year that was. It was indeed an exciting year for theater- from new theater companies, to well-written original productions, to poignant plays, to powerful musicals, and to mesmerizing ballets.

Amidst the bustling theater scene, it was also an exciting year for us at TEAM TFM. After 4 years of hard work, we were able to reach two milestones- acquiring more than 10,000 followers on Facebook, and finally launching our website. It was a year of ups and downs, of peaks and valleys, of highs and lows, of one adrenaline rush to another, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped us pull through.

To renowned composer, Mr. Ed Gatchalian, for being the first person in the industry who ever believed in our vision. To PR extraordinaire, Mr. Toots Tolentino, for encouraging us to launch the website in the first place and for continuing to see potential in us especially during the moments when we ourselves can’t. To award-winning blogger, Mr. Orly Agawin, for being a cunning mentor and for being a voice of reason during our most vulnerable moments. To tech savant Ms. Ysabel Cruz and Zymedia Services for being patient with us when we got stressful and demanding.

To everyone who generously helped us with our 7-day website launch countdown- from 9 Works Theatrical and the cast of La Cage Aux Falles, to the founder of The Sandbox Collective Mr. Toff de Venecia, to the founding members of Red Turnip Theater- Ana Abad Santos, Topper Fabregas, Rem Zamora, Cris Villonco, and Jenny Jamora, to PETA and the cast of Rak of Aegis, to theater veterans Ms. Bituin Escalante and Mr. Hans Eckstein, to Ballet Manila’s Artistic Director, Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, and to theater icon Ms. Lea Salonga.

To Ms. Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo for educating us with a more holistic view of the industry and for being one of our biggest inspirations. To Mr. Toff de Venecia for his unwavering support, for his words of encouragement, and for being a sounding board for our crazy ideas all these years. To Mr. Jonjon Martin for cheering us on when we started to feel tired and burnt out. To all the theater artists who continue to do what they do and inspire us everyday. To everyone who bought TFM shirts to help us maintain our website. To all our family and friends who have stuck by us and have been nothing short of understanding when it comes to our love for this unconventional advocacy. And a most special thank you to all the theater fans who have shared in our passion for this beautiful art form. Thank you for your trust and continuous support.

We will be revamping the website come this January in the hopes of making it more user-friendly for everyone. 2016 is looking brighter than ever. Cheers to a bigger and a more exciting year ahead!

Sincerely,

TEAM TFM
