Spot on Cabaret to Feature Jon Santos, Marvin Ong, OJ Mariano, and More this August
Spot On! A Cabaret—a series held every other month, created by theater artist Sweet Plantado-Tiongson to spotlight local theater talents—returns to mark its one-year anniversary!
To celebrate this milestone, Spot On! A Cabaret will stage Life is a Cabaret, a one-night-only performance that reunites all the theater artists it has featured over the past year: Marvin Ong; Jon Santos; Paw Castillo; the “Came-and-Went-ers” Pamela Imperial, Ikey Canoy, Jamie Inocian, and JC Gotinga; and “These Divas” Gabo Tiongson, Ericka Peralejo, Katie Bradshaw, and Albert Silos.
But there’s more! Joining them are OJ Mariano, Jim Ferrer, Gimbey Dela Cruz, Teetin Villanueva, Jep Go, and Sweet Plantado-Tiongson’s students. Musical director Beth Martin will also perform a special number.
The show will be for the benefit of May Bayot De Castro, who is currently on hiatus due to a medical condition.
Life is a Cabaret is directed by Sweet Plantado-Tiongson, with musical direction by her, along with Farley Asuncion and GJ Frias. It will be held on August 19, 8 PM, at the District One Gastrolounge in BGC.
Tickets are priced at P1,100 and are available via Ticket2Me. Those who are unable to attend but would like to support May Bayot financially may send a personal message to Sweet Plantado-Tiongson via Facebook Messenger or email her at tiongsonsweet@gmail.com.
