A special tribute concert to musical legend Stephen Sondheim will stream next month.

Entitled Simply Sondheim this special is a production of Arlington Virginia’s Signature Theatre and is directed and choreographed by Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner. The performance was recorded by the cast while strictly following health and safety protocols and Sondheim himself gave permission for the event.

The show will feature more than 30 of Sondheim’s most iconic songs such as “Finishing the Hat,” “Another Hundred People” “Losing My Mind” and “The Worst Pies in London” as well as more obscure pieces such as “Country House,” “Saturday Night” and “Goodbye for Now”.

The concert boasts an all-star cast of Broadway veterans including: Norm Lewis (Once on This Island), Solea Pfeiffer (Evita), Conrad Ricamora (The King and I), Emily Skinner (The Cher Show), Nicholas McDonough (South Pacific), Donna Migliaccio (War Paint), Christopher Mueller (Assassins), Katie Mariko Murray (Grand Hotel), Tracy Lynn Olivera (Ragtime), Paul Scanlan (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Awa Sal Secka (Into the Woods), and Bobby Smith (A Little Night Music). They will be accompanied by a 16-piece orchestra.

The show will stream on Marquee.TV, a streaming service with a catalog of hundreds of dance, opera, and theater productions. The platform has an extensive catalog of global arts and culture.

Simply Sondheim will stream on Marquee.TV from February 2 to March 26.
