PETA has just announced at tonight’s curtain call that One More Chance, The Musical, whose current run is still ongoing until June 30 at the PETA Theater Center, is set for another rerun this year!

Why has the company been teasing #ThreeMonthRule over the past few days? It turns out that the show will be running from August 23 to October 27 at the PETA Theater Center, exactly three months from now.

Based on the motion picture One More Chance (2007) produced by ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc., PETA’s musical adaptation not only brings Popoy and Basha’s love story to life but also aims to create a more nuanced and expanded experience for audiences. The show debuted last April 12, 2024 at the same venue.

Michelle Ngu-Nario pens the script, featuring the music of Ben&Ben, with PETA’s Artistic Director Maribel Legarda at the helm. Also in the creative team are J-mee Katanyag (assistant direction and dramaturgy), Myke Salomon (musical direction and sound design), Michael Barry Que (choreography), Ohm David (production design), Carlo Pagunaling (costume design), David Esguerra (lighting design), and Bene Manaois (projection design).

The cast features Sam Concepcion and CJ Navato, who alternate in the role of Popoy, and Anna Luna and Nicole Omillo, who alternate in the role of Basha.

Joining them are Jef Flores and Jay Gonzaga, who alternate as Mark; Kiara Takahashi and Sheena Belarmino, who alternate as Tricia; Ada Tayao and Rica Laguardia, who alternate as Krizzy; Poppert Bernadas and Paji Arceo, who alternate as Kenneth; Via Antonio and Dippy Arceo, who alternate as Anj; Johnnie Moran as Chinno; and Jon Abella as JP.

Completing the cast are Chez Cuenca and Coleen Paz, who alternate as Helen/Guia/Roselle; JC Galano and Matthew Barbers, who alternate as Francis/Mr. Tan; Carla Guevara Laforteza and Neomi Gonzales, who alternate as Rose/Edith; Raul Montesa and Floyd Tena, who alternate as Bert/Willie; and Hazel Maranan as Elvie/Mrs. Abellera.

Tickets are priced at P3,000 (VIP), P2,500 (Orchestra Center), P2,200 (Orchestra Side), P2,500 (Balcony Center), and P1,500 (Balcony Side).
