Before the Interval, the sequel to HeadSpaceDance’s After the Interval is now streaming.

Following its first show, Before the Interval is the second and last of the twin-bill series directed and conceived by Luca Silvestrini for HeadSpaceDance.

The show tells the story of Akrill, Goddard, and Sveaas as they take Broom’s absence as a sign to boost and promote their own talents as dance-directors while projecting what their future selves could be. With Silvestrini’s humorous, satirical dance theater style, they were able to speak their mind about their potential career, and audience expectations while holding conversations as they move.

It is devised and performed by Christopher Akrill, Jonathan Goddard, and Clemmie Sveaas. With music by Ross Aubrey, Pascal Comelade, Jonathan Dawe, Nick Powell, and Sarah Willson.

It is presented by The Royal Ballet as part of its dance programme. The world premiere was staged in Linbury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House, London, last April 16, 2014.
