Mozart and Rossini Operas Back-to-Back in One Production
The CCP Out-of-the-Box series, a new series of productions that audiences wouldn’t normally see in conventional programming, is back for its second installment with Figaro! Figaro!!
Figaro! Figaro!! is a back-to-back presentation of abridged opera versions of Gioachino Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, translated and sung in Filipino. The show features performances by Bianca Camille L. Aguila, Roxy Aldiosa, Diego Aranda, Angeli Benipayo, Ruzzel Clemeno, Nerissa De Juan, Roby Malubay, Nomher Nival, Noel Rayos, Jonathan Tadioan, and Floyd Tena.
Filipino translation and lighting design are by Dennis Marasigan, with Set Design by Ohm David, Costume Design by Raqs Regalado, Sound Design by TJ Ramos, Musical Direction by Farley Asuncion, and Stage Direction by Jaime del Mundo.
The show will run on August 25, 7:30pm and on August 26, 3pm at the CCP Black Box Theater. Tickets are P1,500. You can purchase them from Ticketworld.
