“Madagascar: A Musical Adventure” Opens this August
Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group is launching the Atlantis Imaginarium Young Theatre (AIYT), a new division that caters to families, young adults, and children. “Madagascar: A Musical Adventure” will be its maiden production.
Based on the Dreamworks animated film, with a book by Kevin Del Aguila and original music and lyrics by George Noriega and Joel Someillan, the show follows the story of Alex the Lion and his best friends Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo, who have been in fabulous captivity inside the Central Park Zoo. Cherished by an adoring public and treated like celebrities, they spend every waking hour inside the 4 walls of the zoo until Marty decides to explore the world outside aided by a band of sprightly ingenious penguins.
AIYT aims to contribute to the Philippine theatre ecology by providing exceptional, meaningful and engaging theatrical productions for young people and their families produced in a professional theatre setting.
The show opens on August 2 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater. Casting and other details will be announced soon. Show buying opportunities are now available.
