‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Announces Final Extension
Reb Atadero, who plays Seymour in The Sandbox Collective’s Little Shop of Horrors, announced at tonight’s curtain call that the show will be extending for two more shows on August 3 at 3 PM and 7:30 PM.
“We are closing tomorrow. Or are we? Because yes, we are extending next week!” Atadero announced elatedly. He also mentioned that next week’s shows are special because a part of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Carina.
The additional shows will feature the two sets of casts, except for David Ezra, who will not be joining the extension.
The 3 PM show will feature Nyoy Volante as Seymour, Karylle Tatlonghari as Audrey, Markki Stroem as the Dentist, Audie Gemora as Mr. Mushnik, OJ Mariano as Audrey II, and Abi Sulit, Paula Paguio, and Julia Serad as the Street Urchins.
The 7:30 PM show will feature Reb Atadero as Seymour, Sue Ramirez as Audrey, Markki Stroem as the Dentist, Audie Gemora as Mr. Mushnik, Julia Serad as Audrey II, and Abi Sulit, Paula Paguio, and Mikee Baskiñas as the Street Urchins.
Little Shop of Horrors opened on July 6 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, Bonifacio Global City. It is directed by Toff de Venecia, with Ejay Yatco as musical director, Mio Infante as scenographer, Kayla Teodoro as puppet designer, Stephen Viñas as choreographer, Joseph Matheu as lighting designer, Joee Mejias as video designer, Philleep Masaquel as technical director, Elliza Aurelio as FOH, hair and makeup head, and JV Rabano and Lorenzo Corro as photographers.
Originally staged in 1982 off-off-Broadway and turned into a musical film in 1986, Little Shop of Horrors is based on the film by Roger Corman, with a screenplay by Charles Griffith.
