Lin-Manuel Miranda Hosts Saturday Night Live
October 8 is gonna be a good night, Hamilton Fans!
Lin Manuel Miranda will be hosting Saturday Night Live on October 8. The musical guest for that night is Twenty One Pilots.
NBC’s Saturday Night Live announced the news via Twitter on September 28. With the sheer simplicity of the announcement (a photo of a cork board tacked with the date and the guests) came its stark contrast against the excitement it brought fans.
“Shout it to the rooftops! @HamiltonMusical’s @Lin_Manuel will host our second episode of the season with musical guest @twentyonepilots,” the Twitter announcement read.

Saturday Night Live has been a well-loved show for its comic sketches that parody contemporary culture and politics.
With Lin Manuel-Miranda’s recent availability after handing off his Hamilton role to Javier Munoz, it was perhaps only a matter of time that the hit TV show will want to have him as a guest.

Miranda has been active in letting people know about his political views, and guesting in the show couldn’t have been any more perfect than it is.
