‘Kosmos’ is a Performance Art Piece Using Cosmetics
This month, Langgan Performance Troupe will premiere its latest virtual work entitled Kosmos.
It’s described as an ‘online collaborative performance piece that explores and examines the meaning, purpose, and utilization of makeup’.
Through Zoom, performers part of the project aims to explore the decline of cosmetic use due to the pandemic. According to the creators, the show delves into questions like, “What now becomes of cosmetics? And what now becomes of the face in this time of facelessness?”
Conceptualized and directed by Jenny Logico-Cruz, it also features performances from Alekxandra
Toyhacao, Alex Reloj, Blonski Cruz, Gaya dela Rosa, Jacq Nacu-Garcia, Joel Garcia, JA Sarmogenes,
Lawyn Cruz, Nikita Sacha, and Sarina Narida.
Kosmos will be running its shows twice a month: March 13, March 27, April 10, April 24, May 8, May 15, June 5, June 19. These live performances will start at 8PM via Zoom. Each show will include an aftershow talk with the creative team discussing how the show was conceptualized and made.
To watch live, pay the Php 100.00 ticket price via payment options below. Once done, email your deposit slips with the subject email, “[KOSMOS] – [Date of Performance you want to watch]”. You will then receive confirmation via email along with the Zoom link.
