The Jim Henson Company, who’s known as the creators of Sesame Street, will be producing Julie’s Greenroom, a new series that will be teaching preschool kids about the performing arts. Julie Andrews will be hosting the show with a new cast of puppet characters.
According to variety.com, guest stars will include Waitress lyricist and composer Sara Bareilles, Wicked’s Idina Menzel, and Glee’s Chris Colfer, among many others.
In the Netflix video below, you can see Julie Andrews talk about the show.
“I am thrilled to tell you about my new show on Netflix, Julie’s Greenroom, which is all about the wonderful world of the performing arts. I mean, things like acting, and dancing, and singing of course, and writing, lighting, and the circus, and lots more surprises. So join us along with lots of exciting special guests here in Julie’s Greenroom on Netflix very soon.
Hopefully, all future theater kids will see this as their new Sesame Street! The show is set to debut on Netflix early next year.
