Jonathan Manalo Jukebox Musical Featuring Phi Palmos to Open in April 2025
At the closing night curtain call of Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical, Full House Theater Company teased the next musical that will be staged at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
A surprise performance by Phi Palmos, Maronne Cruz, and Julia Serad, together with the cast of Buruguduystunstugudunstuy, featured the OPM song “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw.”
At the end of the performance, FHTC Co-Artistic Director Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo said, “There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The next musical from FHTC is the songs of Jonathan Manalo. Expect that in April 2025. We’ll see you at the theater.”
The upcoming musical, still untitled, will feature Manalo’s hits, such as “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw,” “Patuloy ang Pangarap,” “Tara Tena,” “Pinoy Tayo”, “May Kasama Ka,” “Boom Panes,” “What U Want,” “Let It Loose,” “Never Give Up,” “Pagbigyang Muli”, “Kabataang Pinoy”, and more, together with brand new, original music composed exclusively for this production.
The company has confirmed that Palmos has been officially cast in the upcoming production. Further details have yet to be announced.
