‘Once on This Island’ Revival Cast Album Now Available on iTunes!
The cast album for Once on This Island, featuring Tony winner Lea Salonga, is now available on iTunes!
Once on This Island tells the story of the peasant girl Ti Moune and the challenges she overcomes to prove that love is stronger than death. The revival of the musical that originally opened on Broadway in 1990 has been garnering praise from critics and audiences alike.
Playing alongside Salonga as the goddess of love Erzulie are Hailey Kilgore as Ti Moune, Isaac Powell as Daniel Beauxhomme, Alex Newell as Asaka, Quentin Earl Darrington as Agwe, and Merle Dandridge as Papa Ge.
The recording of the album was announced in December. Once on This Island’s librettist Lynn Ahrens and composer Stephen Flaherty also serve as producers on the album, which notably features found objects used as instruments.
