“Under My Skin” Leads Gawad Buhay 2020 Citations
Gawad Buhay, the country’s premier recognition awards for the performing arts have released their citations for the first half of 2020. Only shows produced by members of Philstage–the country’s alliance for performing arts companies–are eligible for citation and eventual nomination for the Gawad Buhay Awards.
Due to unforeseen circumstances this year, Philstage has decided to combine this 2020 season with the upcoming 2021 season for the 2022 awards ceremony. The upcoming awards will now also include a new category for Outstanding Projection and Video Design.
For 2020, only five shows are eligible for competitive citations, namely: “Under My Skin” (PETA), “Joseph the Dreamer” (Trumpets), “Stage Kiss” (REP), “Batang Mujahideen” (Tanghalang Pilipino), and “Dekada ’70” (Black Box Productions).
