GMG Productions has announced a sign language–interpreted performance for its ongoing production of Dear Evan Hansen.

In collaboration with Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Deaf consultants and interpreters from the Benilde Center for Education Advancement of the Deaf (CEAD) and the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies – Interpreting Education Program (SDEAS-IEP), the company has ensured that its October 2, 8 PM performance of Dear Evan Hansen will be accessible to the Deaf community. The musical will be interpreted live in FSL by Benilde’s interpreters, enabling Deaf audience members to fully engage with the emotion, storytelling, and musicality of the production.

“At GMG Productions, we’ve always believed in the power of theatre to connect, heal, and bring people together,” said Carlos Candal, CEO of GMG Productions. “Dear Evan Hansen carries a deep message, one that reminds us that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and understood. This is why we are proud to make this production more inclusive by offering an FSL interpreted performance. By working closely with the Benilde FSL interpreting team, we are taking another meaningful step toward making theatre accessible to audiences of all abilities.”

A dedicated orchestra seating section has been reserved exclusively for Deaf audience members and their companions to ensure clear sightlines and the best possible viewing experience of the interpreter. Access to these seats is available only through the promo code ACCESSSEATS, which provides a 20% discount. In addition, the standard PWD discount is available at physical TicketWorld outlets for Deaf or hard-of-hearing patrons with a valid PWD card. This arrangement supports accessibility efforts and fosters a welcoming environment for all attendees.

Dear Evan Hansen is now running and must close on October 5 at The Theatre at Solaire, with tickets exclusively available via TicketWorld.
