Bonifacio ‘Ang Supremo’ Isang Musikal by the Philippine Stagers Foundation is set to premiere on August 2, 4 PM at St. Scholastica’s College Manila. The show is a restaging of the group’s 2013 production, Bonifacio: Isang Sarsuwela, which aims to offer a tighter and more intense iteration for younger audiences.

The musical follows the life of the great Filipino plebeian and revolutionary Andres Bonifacio—from his establishment of the underground movement Katipunan to his betrayal and death at the hands of fellow Filipinos. It features over twenty scenes and runs for approximately two hours, performed by a cast of nearly 50.

Vince Tañada leads the cast as Andres Bonifacio. He also serves as the show’s writer and director, in addition to his role as the company’s artistic director. He is joined by company president Johnrey Rivas (Emilio Jacinto), Yvonne Ensomo (Gregoria de Jesus), Joseph Tañada (Emilio Aguinaldo), Kanisha Santos (Hilaria Aguinaldo), Chin Ortega (Macario Sakay), Adelle Ibarrientos-Lim (Tandang Sora), Bea Martin (Marina Dizon), Chris Lim (Baldomero Aguinaldo / Heneral Lachambre), JP Lopez (Mariano Noriel), Rotsen Etolle (Jose Paua), Renz Saavedra (Agapito Bonzon), and Gerald Magallanes (Daniel Tirona / Gobernador-Heneral Polavieja).

They are joined by alternates Dave Pajanustan (Andres Bonifacio), Abbey Romero (Gregoria de Jesus), Lance Cabradilla and Fidel Redado (Emilio Aguinaldo), Vean Olmedo and Ella Cristofani (Hilaria Aguinaldo), Ken Intano (Emilio Jacinto), Carl Rasco (Macario Sakay), Sarah Javier and Daffodil Perez (Tandang Sora), Marina Esperida (Marina Dizon), and Dio Marco (Mariano Noriel).

Joining Tañada on the artistic team are Pipo Cifra (composer, musical director), Gerald Magallanes (choreographer), John Paul Santos (technical director/lighting designer), Emy Tañada (costume designer), and Kris Manubay (production designer).

The show will tour nationwide until April 2026. The schedule will be posted on the group’s social media accounts soon.

Tickets are priced at P1,500 (SVIP, middle seats), P1,000 (VIP, side seats), P700 (GA, backside seats), and P500 (balcony). They can be purchased through 0977-471-3112 or via email at philstagersfound@gmail.com.
