The Cultural Center of the Philippines will stream Behind Arias and Showstoppers: Conversations with the Pinoy Stars of Opera and Musical Theater, a two-part show featuring the leading Filipino theater-makers, later this month. The first part will premiere on May 21 at 6pm and the second on May 28 at 6pm.

Part 1 is entitled Duet For Tenor And Leading Lady and will feature a conversation between veteran musical theater actress and director Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and internationally-renowned opera singer Arthur Espiritu. They will be sharing stories from their extensive careers and insights into their art. They will tackle topics such as the differences between opera and musical theater, life lessons about dedication and training, and the discipline that guided the pursuit of their dreams.

Part 2 is entitled Quartet For Leading Lights and will feature opera singers Rachelle Gerodias and Camille Lopez-Molina and musical theater artists Sheila Francisco and Reb Atadero. They will share their journeys through the worlds of opera and musical theater and discuss the highs and lows of their careers. They will also discuss the differences and similarities of the training, the preparation, rehearsal process, and performance of the Musical and the Opera.

Both episodes will be moderated by Floy Quintos and will be available on the official CCP Facebook page and YouTube Channel.
