Anna Ziegler’s “BFF” to be staged in Ateneo this November
This November, the Ateneo Fine Arts Department presents BFF, a heartfelt story by Anna Ziegler about friendship and choices. In this coming of age story, Lauren and Eliza navigate their identities and their relationship as they face the challenges of growing up.
In BFF, Ziegler sheds light on the culpability and responsibility we all must face in the incessant discovery of ourselves and how our experiences mold our capacity to actualize relationships.
The play features graduating Theatre Arts students, Alecx Lorica and Hans Braga, as well as alumna and Aliw Award Nominee, Camille Abaya.
The production is under the direction of Missy Maramara assisted by Tara Oppen, under the guidance of the Fine Arts Theatre Faculty. The show also features choreography by Stephen Viñas.
The play is brought to life by the set design of Kayla Teodoro, costume design of Yanna Parpan, lights design of Luigi Soriano, and sounds design of Mica Fajardo. Posters by Anissa Aguila and Chris Cancio.
Shows will start from November 22-25, November 29-30, and December 2, 2017 at the Black Box Theatre in Ateneo de Manila University at 7:30 pm, with a 3pm show on November 25, 2017.
