“Ang Huling El Bimbo” Announces Returning Cast for Final Run
As previously reported, “Ang Huling El Bimbo” returns to the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila for its final run this July 5 to August 18. The musical tells the story of three friends who have drifted apart in adulthood until fate reunites them to confront their haunted past.
The returning cast will include a mix of original cast members and newer returning cast members. Gian Magdangal and David Ezra will be returning as Hector, OJ Mariano and Myke Salomon (also musical director) will be returning as Emman, Jon Santos and Rafa Siguion-Reyna will be returning as Anthony, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo (also associate director) and Carla Guevara Laforteza will be returning as Joy, Reb Atadero and Bibo Reyes will be returning as Young Hector, Boo Gabunada and Vic Robinson (who previously played Andre and cover to Young Emman) will be returning as Young Emman, Lance Reblando and Phi Palmos will be returning as Young Anthony, Tanya Manalang and Gab Pangilinan will be returning as Young Joy, Sheila Francisco will be returning as Tiya Dely, and Jamie Wilson and Jonathan Tadioan will be returning as Banlao. Paolo O’Hara joins the cast as alternate to Banlao.

Other members of the creative team include Dexter Santos (director/choreographer), Dingdong Novenario (playwright), Floy Quintos (dramaturg), Gino Gonzales (set designer), Monino Duque (lighting designer), Rards Corpus (sound designer), and Marlon Rivera (costume designer).
The musical recently won Outstanding Musical Direction by Salomon and Outstanding Choreography by Santos in the 11th Gawad Buhay Awards.
