‘Ang Dalawang Teodora’ Interactive Halloween Production Comes to Biñan this November

The Biñan Youth Performance Council (YPC) stages Ang Dalawang Teodora starting October 29, an interactive Halloween production that brings to life the mystery of the two Teodoras.

For the past seven years, YPC has made it a Halloween tradition to stage immersive theater that goes beyond the typical horror house experience. Audiences don’t just watch — they move, crawl, and act, becoming part of the unfolding story.

For the first time, the spectacle will take place inside the Historic Alberto Mansion itself. Built in the 1800s, the mansion once stood as a proud symbol of Biñan’s illustrious past. It was home to one of the city’s most prominent families, the Albertos. Among its heirs was Don Jose Alberto, brother of Doña Teodora Alonso, the mother of the national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Don Jose later married Doña Teodora Formoso, but their union was marked by turmoil, reportedly stemming from conflicts involving Doña Teodora Alonso herself. Both Teodoras once lived within the mansion’s storied walls — a circumstance that would ignite a lasting rift between the Alberto and Rizal families. Today, their presence lingers as whispers of love, betrayal, and unrest echo through the ancestral home.

The cast features Danica Samson, Jury Sanchez, Rein Crisostomo, Mary Clare Fernandez, Ryza Karunungan, Euden Moje, Addie Lacandazo, Rozel Aniceta, Jenver Mallate, Ronquillo Rubio, Sheena Gonzales, Iverson Ochoa, Sydney Almarinez, Janzer Escuadro, Marlou Navia, Rinoa Caracas, Juliana Tan, Joy Orzo, Summary Recinto, Lorenz Bagtas, John Michael Nava, Rijs Dale, Marco Delovino, Kevin Agravante, and Uriel Gomez.

Ang Dalawang Teodora is written and directed by Sigrid Carreon. Joining him in the artistic team are founding-artistic director BJ Borja, production design leaders Arar Marcilla, Assiel Casupang-Brusola, Brix Bartolome, and Wilfredo Alipala, photo and graphics designer Federico Rivera, video editor Kristel Calatin, sound designer Jessa De Dios, and technical director John Paul de Paz.

The show runs from October 29 to November 9, 7 PM, at the Historic Alberto Mansion, City of Biñan. Tickets are priced at P100 (regular pass) and P200 (express pass). For inquiries, contact the Biñan Youth Performance Council on Facebook or Instagram.

Founded in August 7, 2005, the Biñan Youth Performance Council (YPC) is the oldest performing arts group under the Biñan City Centre for Performing Arts. It provides young people with opportunities to explore theater, express their ideas, and engage with their community. Now recognized as the official theater group of Biñan, YPC continues to pursue its mission of challenging expectations and promoting cultural awareness.
