‘About Us But Not About Us’ Set to Rerun this October
IdeaFirst Live’s About Us But Not About Us, which originally ran from February 14 to March 8, 2026, is returning for a rerun from October 2 to 25 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater.
The production is based on Jun Robles Lana’s film of the same name, which premiered during the 2023 Summer Metro Manila Film Festival. The film starred Romnick Sarmenta and Elijah Canlas, who both reprised their roles for the stage adaptation and will once again return as Eric and Lancelot, respectively.
Joining Sarmenta and Canlas in reprising their roles from the original run are Epy Quizon and Andoy Ranay as Marcus.
New to the production are Kobie Brown, who alternates as Lancelot, and director Tuxqs Rutaquio, who will also alternate in the role of Eric while continuing to direct the production.
The play follows a seemingly casual conversation between a literature professor and his student that gradually unravels into a tense psychological confrontation, as secrets, lies, and long-buried truths begin to surface. It explores identity, hidden trauma, and the complex, manipulative nature of storytelling and human relationships.
About Us But Not About Us runs from October 2 to 25, 2026, with performances on Fridays at 8 PM and Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM and 8 PM at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater.
Tickets are priced at ₱3,920 (VIP), ₱3,360 (Orchestra Center), and ₱2,800 (Orchestra Side), and are available via Ticket2Me.
The performance runs for 1 hour and 45 minutes without an intermission and is intended for mature audiences only. Guests below 18 years old will not be admitted.
Idea First Live’s next stage production will be Die Beautiful: The Musical, set to open in June 2027 at the Proscenium Theater in Rockwell, Makati. Starring Maxie Andreison and Viñas Deluxe, who will alternate in the role of Trixia, the musical will mark the company’s third stage production, following Anino Sa Likod Ng Buwan, its stage debut in March 2025 (which returned for a rerun in October that same year), and About Us But Not About Us.
