16th Gawad Buhay Awards Winners — FULL LIST

The 16th Philstage Gawad Buhay Awards has just concluded at the Aliw Theater, with Reb Atadero serving as host.

The nominees and winners were chosen by an independent jury from the eligible list of shows produced by Philstage member companies. Eighteen shows were considered eligible for this year’s awards: The Foxtrot (Theatre Titas), Let’s Do Lunch (Theatre Titas), Nobody is Home (PETA with Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater), Kisapmata (Tanghalang Pilipino), Gregoria Lakambini: A Pinay Pop Musical (Tanghalang Pilipino), Via Dolorosa (The Necessary Theatre with WHYNot Manila), We Aren’t Kids Anymore (Barefoot Theatre Collaborative), Come From Away (Stages Production Specialists, Inc. with GMG Productions), Shrek the Musical (Full House Theater Company), Side Show (The Sandbox Collective), Next to Normal (The Sandbox Collective)Delia D.: A Musical Featuring the Songs of Jonathan Manalo (Full House Theater Company), Alice in Wonderland (Repertory Philippines), Art (Repertory Philippines), Liwanag sa Dilim (9 Works Theatrical), A Christmas Carol (9 Works Theatrical), The Bodyguard The Musical (9 Works Theatrical), and Kaliwaan (Stages Production Specialists, Inc. with MusicArtes, Inc.).

This year, Kisapmata led all productions with 11 awards, followed by Shrek the Musical with six, Gregoria Lakambini: A Pinay Pop Musical with four, and Come From Away and Side Show with two each.
