Kho-Lab Productions and Artist Playground are set to stage Double Take, a twin bill production featuring Reverse Card and AL.TER, from May 29 to June 21.

Directed by Paul Jake Paule, the production explores themes of sexual identity, power dynamics, and vulnerability within intimate, confined spaces.

Written by Chase Kyle Loza, Reverse Card follows a gay author who has endured years of torment due to his gender identity. In a moment of openness, he invites his former classmate and longtime bully, John, to his home. The evening takes a sinister turn when the author’s latest play is rejected in favor of John’s work.

Reverse Card, which premiered in August 2025, marks the return of Gerhard Krysstopher as Marvin and Gerald Magallanes as John. They are joined by Drei Arias and Lance Cabradilla alternating as John, and Inah Evans and Jarold Brimbuela stepping into the role of Marvin.

AL.TER, written by Pablo Joaquin, follows interior designer Al as he returns to a department store filled with memories of his late partner. There, he encounters Ter (Terrence)—a stranger who looks exactly like the man he lost—triggering an emotional unraveling that forces him to confront the blurred line between memory and moving on.

In AL.TER, CJ Tiongson and Johnrey Rivas alternate as Al, opposite James Ramada, Drei Arias, and John Ven Soco as Ter.

Double Take runs from May 29 to June 21 at Illumination Studio, 2723 Sabio St, Corner Chino Roces Ave, Makati, with performances scheduled every Friday to Sunday at 8:00 PM, and additional 3:00 PM matinee shows on Saturdays and Sundays.

Tickets are priced at P1,500 and are available via Ticket2Me.
