‘Bar Boys The Musical’ Returns this October 2025 with an All-New Staging
Now building on its story and music, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative’s Bar Boys returns this October on a larger stage—Hyundai Hall, Areté in Quezon City—not as a rerun, but as an all-new staging.
Now titled Bar Boys: The Musical (previously Bar Boys: A New Musical), the new production will be directed solely by Mikko Angeles, who previously co-directed the show with Pat Valera. This run follows two sold-out stagings in May and October 2024, which collectively drew more than 9,000 audience members.
Bar Boys: The Musical follows the journey of four friends—Erik, Chris, Torran, and Josh—who hope to become lawyers and change the world. But as the realities of school and life set in, their friendship, values, and faith are put to the test. The musical is created by Pat Valera (book and lyrics) and Myke Salomon (music and lyrics), based on the film by Kip F. Oebanda.
Benedix Ramos, Alex Diaz, Jerom Canlas, and Omar Uddin will return as Erik, Chris, Torran, and Josh. Sheila Francisco will also reprise her role as Justice Hernandez. Additional cast members will be announced in the coming weeks.
Returning members of the creative team include Myke Salomon as musical director, Jomelle Era as choreographer, Ohm David as stage designer, Meliton Roxas Jr. and Jethro Nibaten as lighting designers, Joyce Garcia as video designer, Julio Garcia as property designer, and D Cortezano as technical director.
New additions to the team include Yvonne Russell as assistant director, Aron Roca as sound designer, and Hershee Tantiado as costume designer.
Bar Boys: The Musical opens in October 2025 for a limited engagement at Hyundai Hall, Areté in Quezon City.
As a gesture of gratitude to its 2024 audiences, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative is holding an exclusive early access sale from June 13 to 27 for those who watched last year, offering 30% off tickets for select shows.
