‘Napapanahon’, ‘CoR’ Twin Bill Full Cast Announced
As previously reported, The Playbook Club (PBC) is set to stage a twin bill production of Rafael Jimenez’s Napapanahon and CoR (Commission on Relationships) under the title First Love, Last Love: A Twinbill running for a limited time this June.
Both plays written by Rafael Jimenez deal with different kinds of young love, and how the world (and people in power) can come between young people and their aspirations. The plays reflect on questions about love and how to find the light in the world as it grows dimmer.
Napapanahon
One week before her wedding, Ruby Versoza defies odds for a chance to speak to her ex-high school sweetheart one last time.
The cast of Napapanahon features Los Akiyama as Arthur and Erika Rafael as Ruby. It is directed by Pia Cruz.
CoR (Commission on Relationships)
In a not-so-distant future, where the government puts a large tax on having romantic relationships, Lau and Luna navigate a Philippines that outlaws unregistered relationships.
The cast of CoR features Rafael Jimenez as Lau, Dippy Arceo as Luna, Cholo Ledesma as Aris/Clerk, and JV Fulgencio as Officer/Senator. It is directed by Zoë De Ocampo.
Other members of the creative team include Missy Maramara (intimacy director), G Roi Reyno (lighting designer), Uriel Tibayan (sound designer), Francisco Yabut (technical director), Fifi Santelices (makeup and styling), and Jaennina (photography).
The twin bill will run on June 20 at 7 PM and on June 22 at 3 PM and 7 PM at The Mirror Studios, SJG Centre, Kalayaan Ave., Makati. All tickets are at Php 850 each. Interested audiences can go to the group’s Google Form to purchase.
