Rockitwell Studios and Music Artes Inc. are set to restage the original Filipino musical Silver Lining this November at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza.

The musical, which debuted last October for six shows, is a tale of self-discovery that unfolds across two distinct timelines, reliving the tumultuous era of the 1970s while shedding light on the contemporary challenges and dilemmas faced by today’s youth.

Returning cast members include Ricky Davao as Leo, Raul Montesa as Raul, Albert Silos as Young Leo, Jay Cortez as Young Raul, Krystal Brimner as Julia, Sara Sicam as Young Josie, Dippy Arceo as Dalai, and Rodel Pingol as a member of the ensemble.

New to the cast are Jake Macapagal as Anton, Gina Respall as Josie, Don Tayco as Rico, Chesko Rodriguez as Mart, Raflesia Bravo as Agnes, Drei Sugay as Young Anton, Moi Gealogo as Chito, and Nayr De Luna, Sam Marasigan, Misha Fabian, and Nadia Tuviera as members of the ensemble.

Silver Lining is written by Galerie Joaquin’s Jack Teotico (music and lyrics), Joshua Lim So and Liza Magtoto (book and additional lyrics), and directed by PETA’s Artistic Director Maribel Legarda (One More Chance, Rak of Aegis, Care Divas), with musical direction, arrangement, and additional music by Vince Lim (Walang Aray). They are joined by PJ Rebullida (choreography), Charles Yee (set design), Tata Tuviera (costume design), Meliton Roxas (lighting design), and Joyce Garcia (video design).

The show will run for eight performances from November 8 to 10 and November 15 to 17, with 8 p.m. shows and a 3 p.m. matinee on Saturdays. Tickets will go on sale this September at Ticket2Me.
