Melisa Camba Set to Perform a Broadway Concert this August
Homegrown Filipino and London-based artist Melisa Camba will be having a one-night intimate homecoming concert on August 30, 2024 (7PM) at the Manila Symphony Orchestra Recital Hall, Circuit Makati.
She will be joined by actor-singer, George Stagnell, pianist Raki Gendrano, guitarist Lyon Lopez, and cellist Vanette Villanueva.
The programme will feature songs by Stephen Schwartz, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jason Robert Brown, Lin-Manuel Miranda, with arrangements by Airra Punzalan, and selections from the musical theater repertoire.

Melisa Camba is a Filipina actor, singer, and theater-maker based in London. She earned her MA in performance – musical theater at the Mountview Academy of theater arts in London, and completed her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music in Manila. She is also an alumna of the Philippine High School for the Arts.
Her notable credits include: Meg March in Little Women: The Broadway Musical (Dugdale Arts Centre), Namira in the Legends of Arahmna (The Actor’s Church), Boses (The Actor’s Centre – now Seven Dials Playhouse), Kung Hindi Man (Cultural Center of the Philippines), The Kundiman Party (UP Playwrights’ Theatre), Harana and Bagong Harana (Philippine Opera Company).
Camba is also composing the songs for This is My Name, in collaboration with playwright Dominique La Victoria. The musical is currently being developed under the Birmingham Hippodrome Writer’s Group Programme. She was also part of the inaugural cohort of Overture, A New Musical theater development scheme for underrepresented musical theater writing teams across the UK.
