‘& Juliet’ Musical is Going to Singapore in September

The West End and Broadway musical & Juliet will be going to Singapore this September, produced by the Michael Cassel Group and Base Entertainment Asia in association with MTM/LeyLine. It will be the touring production’s only stop in Asia.

Written by David West Read (Schitt’s Creek) and directed by Luke Sheppard, the musical flips the script on the well-known love story and asks: what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo?

& Juliet is a jukebox musical that features pop anthems by Swedish pop songwriter Max Martin, such as  “Since U Been Gone‚” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life‚” “That’s The Way It Is,“ and “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” Also in the creative team are Jennifer Weber (choreography) and Soutra Gilmous (set design).

The musical production opened on the West End in 2019, where it was nominated for 9 Olivier Awards and won 3. It officially opened on Broadway on November 17, 2022.
