Cast Photo Released for Broadway’s Anastasia
As we previously reported, Anastasia, one of the new musicals productions to hit Broadway, has been set to open at the Broadhurst Theater on April 24, 2017.
The musical’s official Facebook page has released its first cast photo just a few hours ago.
In the middle of the photo is Christy Altomare, the Spring Awakening alum who will play Anastasia herself. To her left is Tony Award Nominee Ramin Karimloo, the actor who will play new character Gleb Vaganov. To her right is Derek Klena, the man who will play her love interest Dmitry.
Inspired by the animated film released by Twentieth Century Fox in 1997, the musical features a score by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and a book by Terrence McNally. The production will be directed by Darko Tresnjak.
