A post shared by TEATRO Lasalliana (@1988teatro)

Teatro Lasalliana (TLS) is set to stage Deliryo sa El Niño, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Vladimeir Gonzales, to be directed by Nazer D. Salcedo.

The show will run from May 7 to 11, 9-10:30am, 11:45am-1:15pm, and 2:45-4:15pm at the Tanghalang Julian Felipe of DLSU-D. TLS is an institutionally recognized theater organization of De La Salle University– Dasmarinas (DLSU-D).

4. AFFA: The Musical by Artistang Artlets

Artistang Artlets, the Recognized Theater Guild of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Santo Tomas, is set to stage AFFA: The Musical as its major production for its 43rd season.

Written by Jocaz Joscylla David and directed by Raven Kurt Raiza, the show will run on May 8 (1pm, 4pm, 7pm), 10 (12nn, 3pm, 6pm), and 11 (11am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm) at the UST Medicine Auditorium. Tickets are P250 for general audiences and P200 for Thomasian students.

5. Kapeng Barako Club: Samahan ng mga Bitter by Teatro Tomasino

After a series of online performances, Teatro Tomasino, UST’s premier theater performance group, will be staging Juan Ekis’ Kapeng Barako Club: Samahan ng mga Bitter, this May, its first live production since 2019.

“We wanted to do something fun and contemporary. A performance that’s simple but supple that will help rebuild every member’s foundation of theater fundamentals,” according to Teatro Tomasino Artistic Director, Jed Porlaje. “Hopefully, this becomes a springboard for next year
as the guild tackles more complicated but equally interesting materials,” he adds.

Following the lives of an eclectic group of friends and their misadventures at Beans Coffee Shop, the play is about love and friendship, in its sweet highs and bitter lows. The upcoming staging is directed by Lendro Enore, an honorary member of the guild who has also directed some of the organization’s past productions.

The show will run on May 7 to 9 at the TARC Auditorium of UST. For ticket inquiries and more information, visit @Teatro Tomasino- UST on Facebook and Instagram or call Abegail Morante, 0998-854-9877 or Heaven Vergara, 0929-106-6166.
