After sold-out runs in September 2024 and February 2025, 3 Upuan returns this August for another limited engagement– this time in Makati City.

Staged in an intimate setting with only three chairs and three actors—Jojit Lorenzo as Jers, JC Santos as Jack, and Martha Comia as Jai, all reprising their roles—the play explores time, grief, and familial bonds through the perspectives of siblings awaiting their father’s passing.

Written and directed by Guelan Varela-Luarca and presented by Scene Change in partnership with Areté and Archivo 1984, 3 Upuan, which premiered at Areté Ateneo, now runs at Archivo 1984. The gallery will also present Totally Tinio, an exhibition showcasing the poetry, writings, and interpretive artworks of National Artist for Theater and Literature Rolando Tinio—bridging performance and archival storytelling.

3 Upuan will run on August 23-24, 30-31, 2025 (2:00 PM & 7:00 PM). Seating is extremely limited, with only 45 seats available per show. Tickets are priced at P2,500 and are now available for purchase via the group’s Google Form. To learn more about Scene Change and 3 Upuan, follow them on Facebook at Sc.
