The nominations for the 2018 Tony Awards have just been announced!

“Mean Girls” and “SpongeBob Squarepants: The Musical” lead the musical categories with 12 nominations, while “Angels in America” leads the play categories with 11. Tony Award winner and Dulaang UP alum Clint Ramos has also been nominated for Best Costume Design of a Musical for his work in “Once on this Island”.

The announcements were made by Tony Award Winner Leslie Odom Jr. (‘Hamilton’) and current Waitress star Katharine McPhee at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
