Mig Ayesa and Tanya Manalang Ignite the Stage in Resorts World Manila’s Curtains Up!
He is a Filipino-Australian singer who first made waves as a finalist in the CBS television series Rock Star: INXS and has made a promising career on Broadway. She is one of the rising female stars in international theater having played the role of alternate “Kim” in Cameron Mackintosh’s Miss Saigon in London’s West End the last two years.
Together, Mig Ayesa and Tanya Manalang will bring the house down as the country’s premier entertainment and tourism destination Resorts World Manila (RWM) in cooperation with Ultimate Shows, Inc. presents Curtains Up! on July 14, 2016, 8pm at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Both Mig and Tanya have their share of theater credits with Mig starring in such productions as Burn the Floor, Rock of Ages, Thriller Live, Annie, and We Will Rock You, among others. Tanya’s stage credits include roles in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, In the Heights, KAOS, The Sound of Music, and The King and I prior to landing the coveted role of Kim in Miss Saigon.
Curtains Up! teams up these two theater stars for a night of favorite Broadway and West End hits of past and present accompanied by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Rodel Colmenar with concept script and direction by concert master Freddie Santos.
Adding more star power to the show will be the special participation of Broadway Diva Ms. Lea Salonga.
Featuring phenomenal solo performances and captivating duets, Curtains Up! combines the gritty vocal prowess of Ayesa and the sweet haunting voice of Manalang that will leave audiences breathless.
