“Ang Huling El Bimbo” Announces Final Run this July
In a video released by the Full House Theater Company, “Ang Huling El Bimbo” is slated for its final run this July to August at the Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila.
The jukebox musical set to the music of 90’s OPM band The Eraserheads initially ran from July 20 to September 2 last year. It had a rerun this year beginning on March 1, with a revised script and new cast members. The run was extended until tonight, May 26.
Written by Dingdong Novenario, with musical direction by Myke Salomon, dramaturgy by Floy Quintos, and direction by Dexter Santos, the musical tells the story of three friends who have drifted apart in adulthood until fate reunites them to confront their haunted past.
The show stars Gian Magdangal and David Ezra as Hector, OJ Mariano and Myke Salomon as Emman, Jon Santos and Rafa Siguion-Reyna as Anthony, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and Carla Guevara Laforteza as Joy, Reb Atadero and Bibo Reyes as Young Hector, Boo Gabunada and Nicco Manalo as Young Emman, Lance Reblando and Phi Palmos as Young Anthony (originally played by Topper Fabregas), and Tanya Manalang and Gab Pangilinan as Young Joy.
The final run is set for July 5 to August 18. Returning cast members have yet to be announced.
