WATCH: Tony Awards 2022 Performances are Online

The 75th Tony Awards just commenced. This year, the event was hosted by Arian DeBose. Some of the show’s star-studded presenters included Andrew Garfield, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bernadette Peters, Phillipa Soo, Aaron Tveit, and more.

Big winners are the revival production of Company, earning five wins out of nine nominations including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for Patti LuPone, and Best Direction of a Musical for Marianne Elliott.

The Lehman Trilogy also took home 5 awards, including Best Play, Best Direction of a Play for Sam Mendes, and Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for Simon Russell Beale.

Other notable awards include Best Musical for A Strange Loop, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for Myles Frost (MJ), and Best Original Score Written for the Theater for Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss (Six).

As always, highlights of the show are performances from new and old favorites alike, including The Music Man featuring Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman, and Spring Awakening featuring the 2007 cast with Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, John Gallagher Jr., and Skylar Astin.
