Walt Disney Studios has just released a new trailer for its live-action remake of “The Lion King.”
In the video, we can see familiar scenes from the animated feature, including the time when Simba and Nala first meet the hyenas, when Mufasa teaches Simba about the true meaning of being king, the stampede, and snippets from the “Hakuna Matata” sequence. We also hear the voices of James Earl Jones as Mufasa and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar.
Directed by Jon Favreau, the film is set to be released in cinemas on July 19, 2019.
Also in the film are the voices of Danny Glover as Simba, John Oliver as Zazu, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, and Beyoncé Nowles-Carter as Nala.
Other cast members also include Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, John Kani as Rafiki, Eric Andre as Azizi, Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, JD McCrary as Young Simba, Shahadi Wright Joseph as Young Nala, and Keegan Michael Key as Kamari.
