The pandemic has affected even this year’s Tony Awards. From postponing the nominations and awards indefinitely to cutting short its eligibility window for shows. This resulted in only 18 plays and musicals being eligible for this year’s awards.

Jagged Little Pill had the most number of nominations, with Moulin Rouge! in second–including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for Aaron Tveit, the only person nominated in his category this year.

Slave Play had the most nominations for a straight play, including one for Fil-Am Clint Ramos for Scenic Design. He is also nominated this year for Costume Design for his work in The Rose TattooSlave Play also breaks Tony nomination records by being the most nominated play in its awards history.
