‘The Quest for the Adarna’ Musical to Stream
Repertory Philippines’ production of The Quest for the Adarna will be streaming for 24 hours only on March 20!
Written by Luna Griño-Inocian, with music by Rony Fortich, direction by Joy Virata, and additional co-direction by Jamie Wilson and Naths Everett, The Quest for the Adarna is an original musical based on the well-known Filipino folklore, Ibong Adarna. The show ran as part of REP’s Theater for Young Audiences from September 14, 2019- January 12, 2020 at the Onstage Theater of Greenbelt 1.
The streaming cast features Arion Sanchez (Prince Pedro), Sean Nolasco (Prince Diego), Diego Aranda (Prince Juan), Noel Rayos (Hermit), Jillian Ita-as (Maria Blanca), Raymund Concepcion (King Fernando), Naths Everett (Queen Valeriana), Matthew Barbers (King Salermo), and Carla Guevara Laforteza (Adarna).
Other members of the creative team include Joey Mendoza (set design), Tata Tuviera (costumes), PJ Rebullida (choreography), John Batalla (lighting design), Winter David (video design), and Otto Hernandez (puppets).
