“Tabing Ilog the Musical” is Coming to the Stage
As previously reported, the ABS-CBN teen drama is going to be a musical. Two days ago, the show’s social media page has confirmed that it is going to in fact be a stage musical.
And just a few minutes ago, the artistic team for the awaited production has been revealed. The show will be directed by Topper Fabregas, with a book by Jade Castro, and music, lyrics, arrangement, and musical direction by Vincent de Jesus. Riza Romero will serve as production designer, JM Cabling will serve as choreographer, Meliton Roxas will serve as lighting designer, and Glendfford Malimban will serve as sound designer.
The cast members, venue, and running dates have yet to be announced.
Tabing Ilog followed the friendship of Rovic, George, James, Fonzy, Epifania, Badong, Anne, and Corrine Ledesma, starring John Lloyd Cruz, Jodi Sta. Maria, Patrick Garcia, Baron Geisler, Kaye Abad, Paolo Contis, Paula Peralejo, and Desiree del Valle respectively. It aired on ABS-CBN from 1999-2003.
